ABOUT ME

Hi - I'm Amy, a registered Nutritional Therapist, Wellbeing Coach, mum and wife, based in Wakefield, West Yorkshire, and I'm passionate about empowering people to take control of their own health.

Having suffered for many years with IBS and debilitating menstrual issues (later diagnosed as endometriosis), multiple trips to the GP left me feeling frustrated and hopeless. There must be an explanation for my symptoms, or a treatment to "cure" me?

I realised quickly there was no magic pill for these common, and poorly understood "chronic" conditions..... and so my journey of discovery began!

After 15 successful years in the corporate world, and having found resolution of my own symptoms by making simple (yet effective) changes to my diet and lifestyle, I took a leap of faith and retrained as a Nutritional Therapist, graduating with distinction, from the College of Naturopathic Medicine (CNM).

​

In my one-to-one clinic I specialise in supporting people with IBS and functional gut disorders. Having lived with gut problems for most of my life I feel extremely passionate about passing on my knowledge and supporting others to heal their gut and get their life back.

Believe me - it is possible - I've been there!

I also hold a qualification in Wellbeing Coaching and am a trained Specialist Recovery Practitioner, supporting people with CFS, M.E. and Fibromyalgia with The Chrysalis Effect. 

More recently I co-founded a not-for-profit organisation offering an online programme to people with CFS, M.E. and Fibromyalgia, who may otherwise struggle to access support. You can find more information here Fatigue Free Futures.

I am a member of the British Association For Nutrition And Lifestyle Medicine (BANT) and the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC).
